I will keep this short and sweet. For a month these headphones were great, but after a month I started to loose volume in the left earbud and after about 6 weeks the sound went completely.

I’ve now had 2 faulty sets of these. I also own some great Sennheiser headphones. Not only are these unreliably built, but the sound quality is second rate; bass heavy, indistinct. The Apple in-ear phones are in a different class. The iPhone/iPod market must be irresistable, but Sennheiser should be wary of the damage they are doing to what was a wonderful brand.

piece of crap. When is someone going to make headphones that don’t die after 3 months?

As most other people have mentioned, the sound is very good at first, but then begins to degrade, especially the low end. After only having this headset for 3 months, the push-to-talk funtion stopeed woking and the sound suddenly became drastically worse so that I have to replace them now. If you can can get these for cheap, I would certainly recommend, but make sure where ever you buy them from has a reasonable returns policy.

because I didn’t. Despite having been pleased with previous Sennheiser products this one lived down to all the expectations created by those who purchased this product before me. I think might be a record however, after 4 weeks a faulty connection developed and the headphones now only with the jack partially inserted (aka loose). So forget the improved comfort and sound, stick with your Apple standard issue headset (for now).
